Activated carbon
Activated carbon is a kind of specially treated carbon that heats organic raw materials (fruit husks, coal, wood, etc.) in isolation from air to reduce non-carbon components, and then reacts with the gas, the surface is eroded, resulting in a well-developed microporous structure.Since the activation process is a microscopic process, that is, the surface erosion of a large number of molecular carbides is dot-like erosion, which causes the surface of activated carbon to have countless fine pores. Most of the microporous diameters on the surface of activated carbon are between 2 and 50nm. Even a small amount of activated carbon has a huge surface area. Almost all applications of activated carbon are based on this characteristic of activated carbon.
